Tiden bretter seg (2024)
Audio work in the exhibition Theia by Marie Nerland
5 tracks of 6 min. each. Which track is played changes and depends on the opening hours.
Tiden bretter seg is based on recordings of dawn, noon and dusk in a selection of places that hold meaning to the artist. The work was commissioned by Marie Nerland and made for Theia, an exhibition by Nerland at Hordaland Kunstsenter (25.05-11.08.2024). In the exhibition, it was played alternately with Theia, a sound work by Nerland, with silence in between.

Morning listening session
During the last weekend of the exhibition. I asked the public to listen to the morning sounds surrounding and in HKS, while also live-mixing recordings that I made in the same spot and during the same time of day as the event, and the night before during Bergen’s ‘civil twilight’-time. After listening we ate breakfast together.
